The Arcturians
Small, slender beings of greenish complexion with three fingers, almond eyes, and — according to contactees — a body that is more light than matter, often perceived as a luminous presence rather than a solid form.
Of all the beings in the modern contactee canon, the Arcturians are the most explicitly spiritual. They are rarely described as crashing, abducting, or experimenting. Instead, contactees report being taught — shown geometry, sound, and frequency as though attending a school whose subject is consciousness itself.
Popularised through the channeling movement of the late 20th century, the Arcturians are said to exist at a 'higher density' than physical matter, appearing to humans as light because that is closer to what they are. They describe fear as the root of every human ailment and present themselves as healers — of bodies, but more importantly of the soul.
Skeptics see in the Arcturians a mirror of human spiritual longing rather than an extraterrestrial species. Believers counter that the consistency of the teaching across unconnected contactees — the same emphasis on love, geometry, and the dissolution of fear — is itself the evidence.
